Campaign Background
According to the 2023 National Survey on Substance Use and Health, nearly 1 in 2 young adults aged 18 to 25 in the U.S. report having a mental health or substance use condition. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) aimed to create a campaign that would connect young adults with resources to support them along their individual recovery journeys. I led the team to develop RecoverMe.
Empowering, Practical, and Encouraging
Recovery is a journey, and the road isn’t always smooth. Our approach aimed to normalize challenges in recovery and help young adults find resources and community support. Extensive research guided this effort to ensure the campaign would reach and resonate with young adults from all walks of life.
